Just got my txt notification of the Democratic VP nominee. Barack Obama has chosen Senator Joe Biden to be the VP nominee. More info at the NY Times.

The four new guys would be none other than Carell, Rogen, Rudd and the new token black guy Romany Malco. If you don’t remember what movie these four starred in together just think back to the summer hit of 2005, the 40 Year Old Virgin. Can you imagine these four guys donning the proton packs? I sure can, these guys have great on screen chemistry. Take a look at the pic below if you need memory refreshing.

Recently I have become aware of a frequent occurence by the moderators of He-man.org. They like to censor almost anything that doesn’t appease their views. Many of you have been on various forums across the web, but do you know what the definition of a forum is. A forum is defined as public group of people having an open discussion. So should a forum be censored?

In my opinion a moderator should only censor vulgar and improper language. What does He-man.org do? They censor anything they don’t agree with. I have come across many posts that have been censored that shouldn’t, but one in particular was ridiculous. The original post read something like this

“this whole 1 figure a month thing is absurd, I wonder whose “genius” idea at Mattel this was. Don’t get me wrong, i’m excited to see new figures done in a classic style, but the numbers thing pisses me off.”

Ok “pisses” might be considered vulgar based on the whole He-man being a kids thing, but kids now a days don’t play with or watch He-man. This forum is mostly for collectors. Below is a sceenshot of the moderator edited post.

Feel free to chime in on this, but ask yourself these question first. Did this post need to be edited? Do the moderators at He-man.org take there powers of control just a little bit too serious?

Just announced during Microsoft’s E3 Keynote Netflix on the Xbox 360. With the success of the Roku Netflix box, Netflix is expanding there set top box offerings. This will add even more subscribers to Netflix’s vastly growing user base. Now all we need is for Netflix to acquire more licensing agreements for digital versions of all the movies and TV shows we love.

I just got back from a midnight showing of Wanted, and I must say that this movie was fucking awesome. From beginning to end this movie kept you entertained and left you feeling awed by the stunts and effects. The story was good too. It kind of reminded me of The Matrix, Fight Club and little bit of Star Wars, but more of the first two.

James McAvoy did a great job playing the wimpy guy turned elite assassin. Angelina Jolie was amazing and beautiful as she always is. As always Morgan Freeman is stellar like in all his other roles. These top three actors made Wanted an exciting movie to watch.

I don’t want to give anything away as far as the story. Whenever someone mentions a certain thing about a movie, you wind up always looking for it. All I can say is go see this movie this weekend. It will be one of the best summer movies you will see, on par with Iron Man.

Apple did it again, they released the 3G iPhone and surprised many people with the new low price. With this new price being so low, one can assume that some contracts may have been broken or changed.

I have no inside knowledge and I am only speculating, but I believe exclusivity no longer makes sense for Apple. Apple will not be paid any revenue from a 3G at&t iphone customer. Why then are they still keeping the exclusive with at&t for the next 4 years?

Apple was definitely pressured into the subsized cell phone model. At&t was losing out on all the iPhones that were being sold in the U.S. to be used as unlocked phones. The iPhone followed the model of the iPod, it was an accompanying product to a service. Apple makes a lot of money off the hardware sales of iPods and little off iTunes. At&t was for the last year like the music labels have been for the last few years. Apple makes out hand over fist at the expense of someone else (don’t get me wrong, the RIAA had it coming, they deserve what they get).

Apple is not totally losing out, they are selling the 3G iPhone to 70 different countries. Some of which have multiple carriers per country. So why still the exclusivity here in the states? I can’t see Apple stagnating there own sales in the U.S. because of At&t’s benefit.

At&t released the 3G iPhone plans, which will cost the U.S. customer more. First generation iPhone owners can keep there plans if they keep their first generation iPhone. If they upgrade they lose their better plans. Not many are going to do this if they are complacent with Edge speeds. Many first generation iPhone users were new to data. Paying more for 3G data is not something many of them will do. In fact if you do the math over a two year contract, a 3G iPhone customer will pay more then what a more expensive iPhone would have cost them. Many normal consumers (non-geeks) are content with what they have. Especially that both generation iPhones will support the 2.0 firmware.

Apple will still sell a boat load of iPhones, but overseas. I believe we will see a CDMA iPhone by June 2009.

Apparently I’ve been out of the loop. I wait patiently until June every year to watch The 4400. Its a great show and it sucks me in every-time. Its a mix between two other great shows, Heroes and the X-Files. The only reason I can think that this show failed is because its on the USA Network. The only reason I watched this network was for The 4400. No one watches the USA Network. If this show was picked up by one of the major networks, it would have succeeded.

The only chance to get this how back on now, is to hope that the Sci-Fi channel picks it up. So diggers I implore you to get this post to the front page of digg. Maybe if it gets enough diggs someone will notice. We can all hope for the best. Let me know how much you love this show, your comments are much appreciated.
